JAMES ADDITION CHURCH History

     The James Addition M.B. Church was organized in the year of 1904 with the following families: 
Bro. James Walker and family,
Bro. Wade Ladd and family,
Bro. Daniel Green and family,

Bro. Moses Kelley and family, 
Bro. S.P. Kelley and family,
 
Bro. Jonas McCall and family,
 
Bro. Jas Mayo and family,
Bro. Dave Mayo and family,
Bro. Pete Mayo and family,
Bro. Andrew Mayo and family,

Bro. E.D. Burks and family,
 
Bro. Henry Hall and family,
Sis. Dillie Dink Hall and family,
Bro. George Hall and family,

Bro. Eli Daniel and family,
Bro. George Scott and family,
 
 Bro. Will Spraggins and family 
Bro. Moses Duncan and family.

     Reverend B.W. Alexander was the founder and Pastor.  Bro. James Walker, Bro. Moses Duncan, Bro. Jas Mayo, Bro. Wash Mayo, Bro. George Scott, Bro. S.P. Kelley and Bro. Daniel Green were deacons.     Reverend Alexander was pastor until his death. 

Over the 108 years after Reverend Alexander founded the church several ministers were elected to serve as pastor. 

     In January 2009, the church elected Minister Michael A. Brown as Pastor, who is presently serving.  The deacons serving are Bro. Raymond Cannon and Bro. Glenn Palmer
